Fiber Forum 2009

Natural Fiber

In North Carolina

hosted by

Western North Carolina Fibers/Handweavers Guild, Inc.

April 17-19, 2009
It's now over
The Fiber Forum 2009 was held at Lake Junaluska, North Carolina.

Year of the Natural Fiber
In keeping with the United Nations declaration of 2009 as the "Year of the Natural Fiber," natural fiber were used in all workshops.

The general membership passed the by-law change.
he by-law changes have to do with the change in SFFA bi-annual conferences and the term limit of officers. Before we went to every two years, officers served three year terms but since we have changed to Fiber Forum being held every two years, it is necessary to make the correction to the term limits served by officers. We should have a rotating board.

Notice of change:

Article VI Board of Directors

Section 2: reads "Each of the regularly elected directors will serve a term of three years."

CHANGE: to read term limit of four years

Article VII: Officers and Their Duties:

"Executive Secretary shall be elected by the membership for a term of five years"

CHANGE: term of four years.

These changes will be voted on at the general business meeting at Fiber Forum to be held in April.
